Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is the privacy policy for Rockit PPC Ltd (https://www.rockit-ppc.com/) ("Rockit", "we", "us").

At Rockit we collect different types of information about our users for two main reasons:

1. To help us monitor and improve the services we offer.

2. Where we have your permission, or where otherwise permitted by law, to market services to you.

There may be other privacy notices that apply to specific services we provide — please read these when you register or subscribe to those services.

We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR"), the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR").

Our Principles

- We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information, and we require any organisation we ask to provide services on our behalf to do the same.

  • You will only receive marketing (by email, post, SMS or telephone) from us and, where you've agreed, from organisations we've carefully chosen. We make clear when you can make these choices — for example, through tick boxes for marketing preferences, which you can change at any time. We may still email you occasionally about your registration, subscription, or postings — for example, reminders, service updates, or copyright requests.

  • We collect and use your personal information only where we have your permission or a valid lawful basis for doing so.

  • We're clear about what information we collect and how we use it.

  • We use personal information only for the purposes it was originally collected for, and delete it securely when it's no longer needed.

  • Our site is accessible via the internet, so anything you post publicly (for example, blog comments) can be seen by anyone, anywhere.

  • Where we or our service providers transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate protections are in place, as set out in the International Transfers section below.

What Information We Collect

We collect information about you:

  • When you register your interest in our services

  • When you use our website

  • Through cookies and similar technologies

  • If you choose to share information in postings or forms

  • Where a specific service requires extra information (for example, your location) in order to be provided

Registration

To register, we need at minimum your name, email address and a password. We may ask further questions depending on the service. Unless stated otherwise, registration questions are required to be answered.

We may also ask voluntary questions during registration for certain services to help us understand you better and personalise the service we provide.

To support our marketing, we may supplement the data you provide with data from trusted third parties, including publicly available sources (such as the electoral roll) or from surveys and polls you've consented to. You can opt out of these emails at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies for a number of purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies (including those used for security, or to prevent or detect fraud) — these do not require consent.

  • Statistical/analytics cookies and functional cookies used only to improve website performance or user experience — under current rules, these may be used without prior consent in limited, low-risk circumstances, but we will always give you clear information about them and a prominent way to opt out.

  • Marketing/advertising cookies — these still require your consent before being set.

By using our site you agree to the use of cookies as described here and in our cookie banner/settings. You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or our cookie preference tool.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics for anonymous reporting of site usage and for on-site advertising. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking your behaviour on our sites, visit: [https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/]

Our Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases, depending on the activity:

  • Consent — for marketing communications and non-essential cookies

  • Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a service you've requested

  • Legitimate interests — for activities such as improving our services, security, and fraud prevention, where we've balanced this against your rights and interests

  • Legal obligation — where we're required to process data to comply with the law

Where our processing relies on a recognised legitimate interest (a narrower category introduced by recent data protection reform, covering activities such as safeguarding or crime prevention), we may not need to carry out the usual balancing exercise, but we still document our reasoning.

Children's Data

We do not knowingly collect or store personal information about children under the age of 16, and we do not offer our products or services directly to children under the age of 13.

Where any part of our service could reasonably be accessed by children, we apply privacy-by-default settings, collect only the minimum data necessary, use clear and age-appropriate language, and take reasonable steps to identify child users.

Updating Your Personal Information

You can contact us by email or via our web form at any time to update your personal information or marketing preferences.

Who We Share Data With

  • We do not share your personal information with others for marketing purposes unless you've given us permission.

  • Where we do have permission, we only share your data with organisations we've carefully chosen.

  • We may make other organisations' services available through our site, even where we don't operate those sites ourselves. Information we collect when you access such a service is covered by this policy; information the other organisation collects is governed by their own privacy policy.

  • We may access and release personal information where necessary to comply with the law or government requests, to operate our systems properly, and to protect ourselves and our customers or prospects.

  • Any organisation processing data on our behalf is bound by contractual restrictions requiring them to protect your information and comply with data protection law. We may audit these providers to confirm they meet our standards. Some service providers may be based outside the UK.

International Transfers

Where we or our service providers transfer personal data outside the UK, we assess the level of protection in place using a risk-based approach, in line with current UK data protection law. This means we consider the safeguards available in the destination country or organisation, rather than relying solely on a fixed list of approved jurisdictions. Appropriate safeguards (such as approved contractual clauses) are put in place before any such transfer occurs.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request erasure of your data in certain circumstances

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Request data portability

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

  • Complain about how we've handled your personal data (see Complaints below)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact Us section.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, you can raise a complaint with us directly.

  • Complaints can be made by email, post, or via our web form — you don't need to use formal language or specifically say "data protection complaint" for us to treat it as one.

  • We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days.

  • Our designated Data Protection contact will investigate promptly, keep you informed of progress, and tell you the outcome without undue delay.

  • If your complaint covers more than one issue (for example, a service complaint alongside a data protection concern), we will deal with the data protection element under this process.

  • If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

  • Website: [https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/]

  • Helpline: 0303 123 1113
